Spring 2025 is about a sense of “primitive-chic” in a modern and sensual way. It draws upon the intimate relationship between humans, objects, nature and the metropolis. The runway is completed with a black rock volcanic-looking set, spewing out smoke, and juxtaposed against the Manhattan skyline. Emerging onto the runway in a mixture of ready-to-wear and couture looks, the Grace Ling earthly spawns are overtaken by the elements: scorched, torn, burnt, windswept. The clothes are seemingly distressed and tattered, yet well-tailored and pristine. The cast was incredibly diverse, including Alex Consani, Precious Lee, Ashley Graham, Meredith Duxbury and 7-foot former WNBA player Elizabeth Cambage. This collection is equally a dedication to the signature chrome details, tailoring and knitwear that has built the brand’s image, as is it a continued study of the imaginative possibilities of our couture metal sculptures. Evolution begins from the first look and weaves a brooding romantic tale with a grand surreal ending.
